Farmhouse Sink Cabinet Size. If it's undermount we recommend a cabinet that is 3 inches wider. It makes the cabinetry design seamless but requires expertise.
Not accounting for the sink’s true size and weight, especially when filled. You should plan for having as little as 12 inches height of free space underneath your new farmhouse kitchen. For reference in this build, the final measurements for our cabinet are 27.5″w x 22″d x 34.5″ h.
It houses anywhere between one to two deep basins, roughly measuring around 9 inches deep.
The width of your cabinet will be based off the width of your farmhouse sink and the width of your cabinets face frames. Fireclay and ceramic come out of the kiln with a 2 percent size variation. But older kitchens could have much wider face frames. But before ordering your cabinet, be sure to communicate to the cabinet specialist that you plan on having a farmhouse sink installed.
